  • Summer Season (June - October: 27-31C

  • Winter Season (November - April: 25-27C (passing cold fronts can drop the temperature to 20C or lower)

BEST SEASON
  • The winter season is the best season in the Bahamas for stronger and more consistent winds.
  • The winter season starts from November - April.
  • The peak of the winter season and the highest wind potential is January - February.
  • Winds can average from 15-20 knots on a good day. 25-30+ knots potential with cold fronts.
  • No beginner lessons are available in winds over 25+ knots. Intermediate to advanced lessons, rentals and advanced riders are possible.

LOW SEASON (FOIL SEASON😉)
  • May - June are normally the lowest wind potential months and the highest chance for rain.
  • July - August can be better weather, with good winds again but much warmer than the winter season.
  • More seagrass and algae on the water and beach.
  • June to November is the hurricane season.
  • The peak of the hurricane season is from September - October, so these months have the highest potential for major storms.
  • Winds can average from 12-15 knots for the summer season.

KITE SPOTS
  • Snow Bay -  Located on the southeast side of the island, where the winds are mostly dominant, Snow Bay is a protected bay surrounded by beautiful natural cays and reef breaks and home to the lagoon entrance. This makes Snow Bay the safest, easiest, and most unique beach on the island for all wind sports of all levels.
  • Depending on the weather and skill level of the individual or group, occasionally guests can experience different locations around the island, such as Clubmed Bay, North Beach, and inside the lagoon.

LESSONS RECOMMENDATIONS
  • Sunglasses with floaty straps
  • Long-sleeved rashguard
  • Sunscreen
  • Wetsuit  (in case of cold fronts). We generally don't need a wetsuit but it can get really cold during cold fronts and we can have them very frequently during the peak of the winter season.
  • These recommendations are not required generally but will make your sessions a lot more comfortable, especially in the case of extreme weather such as cold fronts and long sun exposures.
